Default Yet another bed cover thread

Looking for comparisons (quality, security) of various tri-flip type covers. I'm thinking a BAK of some kind or an Undercover. Not sure why the Lomax are so spendy, are they significantly stronger/better? Seeking advice and input.

I’ve gone with BAK on my 2013, 2015, 2018, and now 2022. AFAIK, BAK is the only “flip up” cover that doesn’t take up the entire front 1/3 of your bed unless removed (when fully folded up against the cab, my BAK F1 takes up about 6-8”). They seal very good (but not 100%), and are easy to install.

That said, the BAK folding panels have a tendency to get internally water-logged, and I’ve had two covers replaced under warranty for this reason — to their credit, with no questions asked.

I went with the Undercover Armor Flex. It’s a tri-fold and it folds up against the back window so the entire bed is useable. It’s got a rhino-liner-like finish, is flush with the top of the bed, and looks great. It stays very dry with the exception of going through the touchless car wash. It’ll spray a little between the cover and the top of the tailgate in that scenario, but not an issue for me. I’d certainly buy it again.

I went with the Paragon Bed Cover. I liked that it is metal and locking but, best of all I can remove it in just a couple of steps.

Should my roll up vinyl top get damaged or need replacement, I expect to get a folding type cover, but only if it sits above the edge of the bed.
If it’s flush you loose probably 3-4 inches of space under the cover. What does that mean? I was able to stack over 60 bankers boxes one on top of the other and still have room for more stuff.

I am like FarmBen with the Undercover ArmorFlex Tri-fold. Same experiences. Pretty easy to install. Previously used Undercover on my Tundra and was happy also. Some good options out there, Good Luck!

I did too. The 1200.00 hard one. I have no idea what it will be like, but I should know (hopefully)next week.

I had the Bak Flip G2 on my previous 2016 RAM. I had to redo many of the rivets as over time they come loose. I had it replaced under warranty once as the panel delaminated from water in the core.

I bought a cap for my F150
