Default XLT LED’s

Anyone else unsure if the XLT comes with LED tail lamps? Looking at the 302A package which gives the reflector LED headlights but keeps halogen tail lamps? Wondering if anyone else has better info?

I'm sure just like the current gen f-150s you have to get blis in order to get the led taillights.

I would love to assume so. It just seems that all the promotional photos and videos of the xlt show halogen tail lamps, even on what seems to be the fully loaded version, and no where on any build detail or write up does it state LED’s are and option. Just seems strange to me that with a ~60K truck you’d still get halogen tail lamps.

Seems like you have to go 502a or higher to get LED taillights.

That's what I was worried about. Kind of unfortunate Ford went that direction.

Not sure about XLT, but 500a says this:
BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Tow Coverage (BLIS® sensor in LED Taillamp)

Ford has been behind the curve for a few years now when it comes to LEDs, just don't understand that.

Ford was the first truck to offer LED lights. As far as the mid trims go, Ford XLT is the first to offer full LED headlights. It's direct competition is the Chevy LT and Ram Big Horn. Neither of those trucks offer full LED headlights. At the same time, I do think the 302, 500a and 501a should have LED taillights.

500 and 501A will have LED standard on the 2021. 2020 had them standard on 501A+ because it came with BLIS.

IIRC..LED taillights were available on the 13th gen XLT's with the BLIS system...
