Default Wireless Charging Pad Issues

Anyone else having trouble with the wireless charging pad in their truck. It constantly falls in and out of charging no matter how I position my iPhone 12 Pro. I have it out of the case and it seems like I have less charge than I did before placing it on the pad.

Mine works perfectly and never has failed to charge my XR even with a thin case. There is a flexible rubber floor in that compartment that has a ridge that holds the phone against the charger. Could you be missing this?

Nope. I have the same thing and keep losing the charge status no matter which way I position the phone.

Mine was doing the same (iPhone 12) After a little trial and error I found that if you place the phone all the way to the right on the pad (until it hits the end of the tray), that is does not "disconnect".

I will try this. Thanks.

I thought there was another thread that said the new iPhone 12 and up have the battery in a slightly different spot and the Ford chargers don’t work? My iPhone X works just fine in my F150 and my wife’s Explorer, but our iPhone 12’s don’t work in either one of our vehicles.

But you have to put your phone all the way to the right side, correct? If you center your phone on the pad, does it still work?

If I center it, It comes and goes. All the way to the right works.

I’m thinking if you have a regular IPhone 12 it MAY work moving it to the side. I tried it tonight, I have an IPhone 12 Pro Max and it does NOT work on the F150 charger moving it off to the side.

Very disappointed in Ford that these chargers do not work with new phones. My wife’s Explorer ST, the charger only fits the phone, so no moving it side to side at all and we can’t use it AT ALL for our phones.

And before anyone says “they can’t predict the future” for these new phones……other manufacturers charging pads work with the new phones.
