Default Wireless Android Auto

I just got my pickup in June...xlt with the 302a package...Sync 4 head unit. I have a lot of problems trying to use Android Auto - particularly wirelessly. Most commonly an error message will pop up saying something to the effect of wireless connection lost. The connection oftentimes comes back a few times but then sometimes will be lost completely until I shut the vehicle off and start it again. Other times the message wifi connection is unstable comes up and shortly after the connection will crash. I have similar problems plugged in too.
I see there were common problems earlier in the year, but everything on my phone and pick up are up to date so that issue should be taken care of. Do others have problems keeping their Android Auto connected? I can't tell if it's something on my phone or something up with the pick up that's causing the problem. I've been trying to get answers in the Android Auto community and have been submitting bug reports, but not getting answers there either.
Thanks!

Same problem here. Ford knows about it. Temp fix is to use a usb-c cable to connect your phone to your headunit.

I use AA daily and did have it drop once a few weeks ago. Otherwise it works perfectly. Fwiw I have a Pixel 5.

More detail - I also use Android Auto daily. I experience the connection dropping on longer drives. I also have a Pixel 5, with Android 12.

I use it everyday. Picked up my truck July 8. Only dropped once since then. All I did was turned off wireless app projection, then turned it back on. It reconnected itself. That was early August. Haven't had it happen since

Mine has done it off and on since I bought it in March. Seems like it may be a smidge better here lately, but I ALWAYS lose it on longer (50+ miles) drives, including around the local DFW area. 3-400 mile drive, it'll drop at least once every time. FWIW I have a Samsung S21 5G, and both are kept up to date, well at least my phone is, can't speak to the truck exactly.

Use it all the time. Got tired of the wireless drops (To fix, I would disable both WiFi and Bluetooth on my Samsung S21 Plus, then re-enable and manually connect BT to truck to re-establish), so I've gone the USB-C cable route for now.

Settings > connectivity> wireless app projection

You would've had to set it up in order for Android Auto wireless to work at all
