Default Wiper Switch - Is it me?

Ok 3 random times now I've gotten into my locked truck, hit the start button and the wipers go on. In checking I've found that the actual switch is rotated to on. I can't figure how I would even accidentally turn it on when getting out last. Is there any situation where the switch itself moves. I know likely crazy question. Just cannot figure what I'm doing. Nothing in manual to suggest the switch moves in any way shape of form beyond by driver action. In none on the instances this happened was it actually raining. Thoughts?

My wipers do that several times a week. For whatever reason, it seems to do it more when it's been parked inside overnight. I'm hoping it's a software issue that can be fixed with an update

what level are your trucks? COULD it be the window sensor needs to be cleared? I have had my 21 less than a month and each morning the front glass is dew covered but the wipers don't give me a courtesy swipe. Maybe I don't wait long enough.

Mine is a Lariat 502a. To clarify in each case I have found the wiper switch on the left of the steering wheel on. Just can't figure how it was turned on. I must be hitting it somehow but can't see how.

Just make sure you turn the dial all the way toward you until it stops to turn off the auto wipers. There are really two stops. The first one sets the auto sensitivity to low but turning it again turns off the auto wipers.

Yeah, he seems to be saying the wiper seems to move on its own, that hasn't been my experience, but mine is always on lowest sensitivity auto wiper. It sometimes wipes in the morning, especially right now, a couple times due to condensation. But otherwise it performs great and I don't see it change on its own. I am fairly confident it doesn't when set to off, because my wife sometimes turns it off and I only realize when it doesn't activate on its own and I set it back to Auto.

If you have a spouse/partner that drives your vehicle on occasion, they could be changing it much like I run into with my wife.

My wipers do it with the switch turned all the way off. It happens at least several times a week, usually when it's been parked inside the garage. Oddly enough, I don't think it's ever happened when it's been sitting out in the rain or when I've washed it.

I keep mine set on auto and occasionally they'll sweep once while dry. Mine seem to do it when I turn into the direct sun.

This is the courtesy wipe that you can enable/disable under Settings / Vehicle Settings / Wipers / Courtesy Wipe (on or off).

The courtesy wipe enables an extra wipe after washing the windshield. This is different.
