Okay, you are comparing a 2013 to a 2021 so I'll add a 2016 to the mix (and all 15-19's (or 20's).
In all those years, the tire sizes are 275/65-18 and 275/55-20 or 32.1" and 31.9" respectively. By the math, one tire is less than 1/4" taller which is about 1/8" closer/further from the ground. Based on tire size, the trucks should be nearly identical. Now comparing a 2wd to a 4wd or some other variation in suspension, etc, there could easily be a noticeable step in height difference.
The 2021's got a larger tire than I listed, however I assume they make up the difference with the sidewall just like has been done for a decade.

Being able to slide out and touch the ground easily could very well have been the seats have a lower profile.

 

Funny you should mention that. I got a summary printed off, sorta like the website but a little different. Now my 21 truck had the one you listed as THIS the day i ordered. When I went to this dealer I asked for it and they didnt know what i was talking about. I emailed my copy of the first truck DORA and sales showed the sales manager. They said theyve never seen that style.
As far as tire size, the height on my 21 with 18s felt like a huge difference compared to my 13 and my brothers 2018. As far as my comfort and ease of getting out with my old injuries and recent decline.

Roadpilot, They are giving me invoice. I called around and this was the only dealer that agreed to that if came in right away to order. Been without a truck since had to medically retire 3 years ago. Got my wife a new vehicle since i was laid up for awhile. Sold my other vehicle last summer when my 21 arrived but only had it 4 days and dealer bought it back it due paint issue-something leaked on it at the dealership. So ive had NO wheels for too long and picked up a job. Luckily she works from home, so theres NO turning it down.

 

Here are all the options off the sticker. I dont even remember a bed utility package being available when i ordered and i have built a lot even after playing around.
Brocar, i built the truck one more time just now, with everything i had ordered. When i added the bed utility package to see what happens, it removed my 18" wheel and added 20s, Must be an XL thing.

STX triggers the 20 inch wheels. They change the tire’s sidewall height resulting on similar overall step in height. It takes my wife a while to figure out…

print off the latest order guide. It’s quite likely that between the time you ordered and it got built Ford changed what is possible. But nobody paid any attention to the changes.

 

Nope STX does not prompt 20s, unless the black edition. 18 inch honeycomb wheel is standard. I just built the truck i ordered twice today with 18 inchers. It was the Bed Utility Package when i clicked on it that removed the 18s and added the 20s.

 

The 275/65/18 tires are ~32" tall. 275/60/20 tires are ~33" tire, so a truck with the 20's will sit roughly 1/2" higher.

This thread may have brought to light why my stx isnt getting fog lamps. When I initially sent the dealer my build, I had the 20" tires.. When I went over everything with him as I was doing the actual order he asked if I wanted the 18s instead. I said sure.

After reading this thread, I went back on Ford.com and built my truck. Swapped the 20s for 18s and BAM fog lights went away. Unbelievable.

So, OP, if you like fog lights be thankful yours got switched to the 20s.

 

fog lights are stx standard package. I did notice when i built today, the fog lights tab was not highlighted or appear selected even though i had already selected stx in the build. I clicked on stx and it still listed fog lights in the package list. my stx had them last year.

 

Yep still listed in the package description, but not on my sticker or image of the truck on the tracker.

Go back and build an stx with the 18s. You'll see the fog lights listed to the right under exterior. Click on it, and it adds the 20s.

I wouldn't trust what the truck looks like on the B&P tool, or even the tracker page from Ford. My Sport Package Lariat had chrome on it at one point, and at another it had some Raptor accents. It may be back to having some Chrome package items on the graphic online and in Fordpass, despite not having them. It is still possible you'll lose the fog lights, but if they disappear when you add different wheels but text still says they are there, they may still be there.

 

That "Raptor Accent Delete" is a generic pop up on a couple trackers
