Default When in Rome….

Nothing like having to replace a mail box again for the 2nd time in 6 months due to people that don’t pay attention to the road. Figured I could seize the moment and stretch the trucks legs instead of carrying 80lbs of concrete and a post up the driveway.

Maybe add a "welcome" bolder or two around that mailbox. That truck stretches well....

Next time make the post out of say...a piece of railroad track or other heavy steel and bury it about 6' deep, paint or otherwise conceal it to look like wood...the next person that hits it would NOT be having a good day...

Sorry to hear about the mailbox but that is some impressive articulation for sure.

A very large brick house with the matching brick mailbox got built on the apex of a curve. Did not last a week.

I had a 4x4 post for my mailbox for 22 years. But I've been doing a complete remodel and replace the old 4x4 with a new 6x6 mailbox post. If someone hits it...it's gonna hurt .

happens here everyday on our main street in the nieghborhood
most have patches on the post like splits

mine is 6x6 double posts on a 2x6 that holds 3 boxes. it has been removed a few times.
i saw a guy put his box on a long pole like 8 feet so the mast was well in the yard and the box swings away. people still hit it
i think mail boxes are like flames to a moth so some people.

i like those wheels and tires .

Not that I care but I believe it’s either a federal law or state level laws that mailboxes are to be mounted on posts that can break away
