Thanks for coming back and verifying. I saw a few users on here get caught in the auto hold trap back when the '21 launched, so I assumed that's where it was coming from.

Correct, auto hold is not "when exiting vehicle". Auto hold is when you are in the driver seat and the door is closed, but you took your foot off the brake.

I never should have read or commented on this thread... sure as **** it started happening to me this past week.... Autohold is not enabled and never has been. .. no updates that I am aware of... only recent change was getting the steering column harness recall done...

Had this same issue. I finally resolved it by turning off auto hold, also changing the drive mode to 2H (I typically drive in 4A). In my case it was the drive mode being in 4A that was the change that finally fixed it. Once I change that to 2H, neutral was neutral again and I didn’t have to look like a total idiot going into the car wash.
