Got a new '23 F150 XLT. There are 4 of these it looks like mounts in the bed with 4 threaded holes for screws on each one.
Can anyone explain?
I'm getting a drop in bed liner that will cover these what ever they are. Am I about to loose some capability by installing a liner?

Those are for optional boxlink tie downs. There’s a base plate that mounts using the four holes, then tie downs can be inserted and locked in place. They’re handy and easy to add but you should have the smaller ones in each corner from the factory. If you decide you want to add those, they’re a fraction of the cost on Amazon as opposed to buying through Ford.
Thanks Ben, I checked on Amazon and see how they work. Will a drop in bed line allow for these to be installed? I would think it would be difficult to find the screw holes, and yes I have the 4 factory installed tie downs at each corner.
I installed mine fine with the Rhino liner I had sprayed in, but a bed liner may not work, unless the liner is shaped to conform with the indented area where these are mounted.

I went with the bed rug, so adding these actually helped anchor it in place better. A plastic drop in would likely be a challenge. You might check out the bed rug…very nice piece, easy install, easy to clean, and nice on the knees when you have to do anything in the bed. I used a small awl to locate the holes then ran the bolts through into the provided holes.
I haven't gotten the drop in yet but the reason I went with a drop in is because it is easier to slide boxes and other stuff inside the bed. The spray in liners are nice but nearly impossible to slide anything in and out of the bed.
