Any reason the tracker says in production and then ford sent me an email saying there is a delay?

I got the same one with a 8/18 blend date. I’m assuming it means chip hold.

I would guess chip hold. Mine was in production for 42 days.

So I called today and was advised that it was came off the line and there is no chip hold. She even said that they had an estimated delivery of Sept. 5th.

It was interesting when I explained to her what I was seeing on the tracker and the late night email I got from ford about the delay, she said I was the third person to call with that issue.

So I guess I will need to wait and see

I think what it is is ford does not send an email when you go to "in Production" as such 45 days expires from your last email and you get that one. I got the same one and that is the best I can figure. Now I am on chip hold, so maybe will see a couple of those in a row

You have to wonder how many different computing systems there are between the production line and buyers computers. Ford has one or more, consumers a second, dealers a third,

I get a feeling that each computer system has its own interpretation of the status of vehicles, leading to confusion and frustration.
