Default Warning Chime

I have a 2021 f 150 Lariat package. I would like to turn off the driver seatbelt warning chime. I searched this forum and found something from 2012. The procedure is in the owners manual and is pretty simple to do. Following the directions I get all the responses including the flashing seat belt icon on dash that tells you that you were successful. Only problem is when I start truck the chime is still there.
1. turn Ignition on ( do not start )
2. wait until warning lamp turns off ( 1 min aprox ) Wait 5 more seconds.
3 within 30 seconds buckle and unbuckle 3 times ( ending unbuckled ) Seat belt warning lamp goes on.
4. While lamp is illuminated buckle and unbuckle one more time
5.Seatbelt lamp flashes to confirm
Has anyone done this on a 2021 and been successful ? I must be missing something.
Thanks,
Jeff

I am pretty sure it's one of the options under popular settings on the FORSCAN spreadsheet on the stickies.

What you outlined worked in mine with no issue.
  1. Without starting the engine, switch the ignition ON.
  2. Wait until the seatbelt warning light switches off (this will take about one minute).Wait an additional 5 seconds before proceeding to Step 3.
  3. Choose which seating position you would like to switch off. Buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt 3x, ending in the unbuckled state.Wait for the seatbelt warning light to switch on before proceeding to Step 4.
  4. Buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt one more time. The seatbelt warning light should flash to confirm that the operation was successful.

Can someone else with a 2021 F150 Lariat Try this procedure and tell me if it worked? I don't know what I am doing wrong. It seems simple enough.
Thanks,

You don't need ForScan.

It's on page 55 of the manual.

Just for clarification

Step 1 Switch ignition on . Do not start. ( Push start button without stepping on brake peddle }

Step 2 Clearly understood

Step 3 Understood. ( is it clear you are seated in the seat position you want to change ? )

Step 4 Once completed you get a flashing confirmation light. ( what is the final step ? Turn the ignition off ? Step on brake peddle and push start button ? }

I will try this again but I have followed these instructions several times before with end result get flashing confirmation light and selection not saved.

Hey I am running into the same issue on a 2021, Following all the steps, the seatbelt light finishes by turning off however when I restart the truck the chimes comes back. Were you ever able to figure out the issue?
