So my 2022 502a it seems the top lights do very little, if you turn on the Hi Beams the lower lights just light higher. Is there any way to get more light from the top projectors, otherwse they seem useless.
I hate the fact there are 2 projectors but only 1 set is used, My sons XLT has the 2 row and uses one for high and one for low, so with Bambi enabled all are on.
Sounds like the bottom projectors are bi-led, meaning all 4 are lit for low beam and bottom 2 get brighter with high beam. Can you post some close up pics for us? It would've been nice if all 4 were bi-led for a nice quad beam low and quad beam high.
I never really noticed this but Caper is right. The top projector doesn’t really change at all regardless if it’s on low or high beam.
In fact, it’s hard to even tell a difference on the lower projector between high and low beam. I’m sure that just has something to do with the way the projector LED’s work and the camera because the actual light output is vastly different between low and high beams.
I took some pics. First pic is low beam, second pic is high beam.
Keep in mind I have Bambi mode enabled that’s why the fogs are still on with the high beams. I also have the DRL at full brightness mod too.
I also have glare free enabled but that shouldn’t matter here I don’t think as they are not engaged here and you can still manually operate the high beam even with glare free.
Hardly a difference when close up. I bet further back the high beams are much brighter, but it is just the lower projector changing.
I do not find them very good. My 2019 Lariat LED lights were far better especially with Bambi mode when both the top and the bottom LED's were utilized.
