I completely turned off everything in the connectivity settings. If that fails to have the desired effect I will physically disable the modem. I am not interested in software updates. The truck runs perfectly fine with no issues. I don't need ford tracking my location and sharing it with Lexisnexis and other third parties. I just wanted a new truck and the fancy gizmos are nice but just not that serious. There is enough tracking through the phone even with the precautions I have taken, but reporting driving habits to the insurance companies...I will never agree to that.

 

I pulled the 8 9 fuse to disable updates. I understand people will be upset with this but my truck is perfect now and I don’t want updates messing it up. I still have maps working. Is there any way to disable that so they don’t know where I am located?
I don’t have navigation but maps still shows up!

 

Settings, connectivity, connected vehicle features and toggle off share vehicle data. Or you can just toggle off connectivity. The map will work (show you where you are) you just can't use it for navigation instructions, everything will be greyed out. On another note, I am pretty sure it asks you to download the update if you instruct it to and you can tell it later. It will just keep asking.
