I think thats the wrong part number for the F150 I think you need ML3Z-1A189-E but I haven't spent the money yet to try it.

Our Airstream came with a separate system which lets me use the Pro Trailer backup at the same time as the rear view camera (separate screen of course). That seems ideal for our needs.

Trailer camera and TPMS hasn’t been made available yet.
I fear it won’t become available. Our smart trailer connectors only have two wires for the pro trailer backup assist.
If they do make the camera and TPMS available, it’ll either be wireless or require a lot of extra wiring.

I purchased wireless aftermarket camera and TMPS systems for my travel trailer. Both work well, and I set the screen for the cameras in the tray on top of the dash. This gives a full time view of the traffic behind the trailer while traveling down the highway.

Currently trying this, but the part I have is LC3Z-1A189-C. '21 XLT PB. Came with the correct plugs in the bumper from the factory so I didn't even have to swap those out with the new ones that came in the kit. So far have not been able to get it to work.

There is 1 Forscan change I can think of to try: 706-18-01: xxxx xx*x xxxx. Currently mine has an 8 which states VehicleInfo_TrailerTowPresent: No. I am going to try changing it to a 9 to make that TrailerTowPreset: Yes and see if that works.

What unit did you buy? Is it integrated? (TPMS & cam on 1 screen?) And does it RECORD? (I can figure this out if I know the unit)
I'd actually prefer NOT using the Sync4 system because I doubt it would support a cam in "rear-view mirror mode" ie., show rear traffic all the time.

Part number is listed above. It is a Ford unit that it integrated with the Pro Trailer Backup Assist. It should only work when the vehicle is in reverse, and not show rear traffic all the time. That would be nice, but I don't want to mount a separate screen. Has the yaw unit that you mount to the tongue of the trailer instead of the stickers, just like the F250/350 can already do and from what the manual says the F150 should be able to do now as well. Ford does not have a part number available for the F150 yet, but I figured there was no way that they would use something different than the 250/350, especially since the plugs in the bumper are identical now, so I purchased the 250/350 part number to try.

I don't use the trailer backup assist, but do want the camera off the back of the trailer that will show through the SYNC screen rather than having to mount a separate screen. I did not get the trailer TPMS kit. Originally I figured it should just be plug and play, but I haven't been able to get it to work yet. The only thing I can think of aside from the Forscan change I am going to try is that I have not set up a trailer for Pro Assist yet. It doesn't appear that this should have to happen though before the the camera will show as I can see the aux camera symbol but the blue screen with the camera crossed out as shown above.

I did get the AB files from a 350 with the Pro Trailer option with the trailer camera, and the line that I was thinking to change is not even a line option in the 350 (706-18-01).

Maybe we do have to wait for Ford to come out with an updated part number, but it does seem odd that Ford would not just use the same hardware and programming as the 250/350.

i have seen other threads where people look at the other side of that socket for the pro trailer backup sensor, and even though there are a number of pins on the socket, there are only a few wires attached, not enough to support a trailer camera. I’m a bit confused about all of this, but it seems like the earlier plans to have the F-150 support trailer cams have gone away. I’ve never seen an option to add this ability. Perhaps Ford meant to have this, but for some reason hasn’t decided to implement it yet. Maybe trucks will be built with the wiring harness to that socket having the extra connections, but the pictures I’ve seen people post so far didn’t look like it was there. This might be why you can’t get the camera to work; you might crawl under the bumper and see what connects to the other side of that socket.

The plug looks the same from the outside, but on the backside of that plug, your truck only has two wires. A superduty has many more.
I’m thinking more and more, that this kit just won’t be made available for 21s and maybe 22s or later
