Trailer lights test...?
Wondering if the trailer lights test will be added back to the FordPass app? That was actually one of my favorite function of the app.
I pull my boat frequently and the lights test was very handy to check the lights on the trailer.
Is there a place where we can make suggestions to add the feature back to the app?

Theres another thread floating around here of all the gripes with the new Fordpass. A member posted a response from Ford stating theyll be re-adding the service record option back in on the next revision, so I assume/hope they reinstate the trailer light option.

This seems like a good place to gripe about the trailer light test and to explore if others are having similar frustration.
In my case, the trailer light test works almost never when launched from the "towing" screen on Sync4. (I saw it work once a year or two ago, but never since then, and I havent bothered to "take it to the dealer if the condition persists" as the helpful message counsels me to do.)
When launched from the FordPass app (I still have the old version), it works about half the time, but even then it's faulty (there's no 'stop' button and hence no way to end the test sequence).
As a result, most of the time I resort to old school methods - my wife standing behind the trailer with me in the driver's seat.
Like many of the cool-sounding features on these trucks (I'm looking at you, Pro Trailer Backup Assist), it turns out to be mostly a gimmick. Too bad, because many of these so-called features could be cool if well executed. Which they are not. Half-assed execution just doesnt cut it in a $65k truck.

When trailer is plugged in, the Controller senses it and stops Auto Stop Start, removes outer reverse guidelines, leaves the center black line to line up the hitch and a magnify screen function to get get it just right from, the Dash Screen.
All I do is turn on the 4 ways and parking light position and this tests all lights and functions .
Still have the small Dash notifications of any Lamp out.
No help needed.
2018.
Good luck.
