Default Tracking Order by Rail

My truck has been built! Yay, me!

NOW.... how can I track it? I have a railcar number by Canadian National Railways.

Default How long after…

How long after your shipped email did you get the rail car tracking number?

I just received an email from Ford saying my built truck has shipped.

I haven't actually gotten a "shipped" notice, just that it's status has changed to "built". But I called an 800 number and it appears that it has at least made it to a rail yard and is expected here (maybe San Antonio) the middle of next month.

I had luck using Union Pacific tracking for Canadian National. It'll switch to Union Pacific Railways at the Salem, Illinois junction station anyways to continue towards Texas. (at least that's what mine did)

Call 1 (800) 877-5123 and follow prompts for tracing.

You will either need to contact Ford Customer Service and ask for available rail information, OR contact your dealer and ask for a Vehicle Visibility Report with the railcar number, the emails won't give you that information.

Thanks for the info, I used fords chat this morning and they gave me the rail car number. The interesting part is that they said the carrier is CN with a ETA of 1/14 - 1/20. When calling the UP tracking number it says that my car is empty and released in California. I’m in MN, so that isn’t good. I’ll call them or my dealer tomorrow and see if I get the same info. Unless someone has a better explanation or idea?

Did they say where the last known location the vehicle was at? They do pick up and ship these railcars nationwide so it's possible they are picking it up elsewhere and having the Railcar delivered to the plant

Also maybe try calling CSX Railways at 1 (800) 235-2352 and follow the prompts for tracing

I called and it said that the truck was "loaded", apparently loaded on the car. Departure is 1/15 with the arrival at 1/21. Hopefully that will be in San Antonio and it will get picked up for convoy to bring it to my dealer in Gonzales.

They did not give that info. I only asked for the available rail information and they gave me the below…The vehicle has been shipped from the plant via rail. The railcar number #TTGX988042. The carrier name is

Canadian National Railways with an ETA

between 1/14- 1/20. While you can check updates on our website
