Default TPMS without 360 Camera?

Hey all,

I recently picked up a '22 F-150 Platinum. It was a custom order that someone apparently decided not to pick up. It came with all the trailer tow packages including the TPMS Trailer Camera. I have no need for it and was looking to sell it. My buddy coincidentally just picked up a '22 Tremor mid package but without the 360 Camera and he does own a trailer. We tried searching but neither of us can determine if he can actually use it somehow.

Is it possible to use it without the 360 Camera via some modding or is it a truly needed feature in the 360 Camera.

Thanks!

If this is the accessory trailer camera, I believe you need the 360 camera for it to work as there is a dedicated aux screen for additional cameras.

I am betting that you could enable it via Forscan, I just have not seen if anyone has figured out what blocks to change yet for that. Another question is whether or not the 12 pin plug in his bumper is wired to support the camera or not. If not, that for sure can be taken care of and there are threads dictating how.

What I really want to know is how the OP got his dealer to throw the aux trailer camera in for free.

Probably not 'free' but rather a DIO on the original order for that truck so included in the deal when the ordering customer did not take delivery (the dealer didn't want to be 'stuck' with that accessory kit in their inventory, it's not a particularly high-demand item).

Yeah that's pretty much it. The original owner/order guy had it fully kitted for towing, but I don't own nor have need for one yet or anywhere in the near future.

Well it's unfortunate news as now I have to try and sell it on marketplace or something.

Shouldn't be terribly difficult to move locally if you're in southern BC, lots of RV trailer owners in that region. Note the trailer TPMS/Cam accessory kit works with properly equipped SuperDuty F250-350 too, so your market is more than just F150 owners.

Coincidentally the Escape trailer linked in my sig block below was built in Chilliwack, BC to my spec.

Good Luck!

it’s listed as a 980 dollar option on the build and price sheet. I’m pretty sure this is the part #ML3Z-1A189-F

I am probably looking to sell since I have no need at all.

looked up the part, seems to be the tire pressure sensors only, not the camera. I don't see why this wouldn't work on your friends truck
