Default Tire uprgrade

Is there a good in between tire for what comes with the 4x4 f-150 and the semi extreme (ridge grappler). Looking to gain some capability, my wife is an equestrian, so she is not infrequently in a wet field with a trailer full of horses, without losing too much “streetabilty.” I have ridge grapplers on my 2017 expedition, and they’re awesome, but have definitely cost me at the gas pump.

TIA.

Have you looked at the Nitto Terra Grappler G2? I had them on my 2017 and loved them. A good compromise between the stock tires and something more aggressive. Not bad off road either. I did quite a bit of overlanding in Wyoming on mine and had no issues.

Check out the Goodyear Duratracs. Quiet on the road, and fantastic in the snow.

I have had both of the Coopers mentioned above and was very pleased with both the on-road and light to moderate off road use. Both lasted 50k, just do your part with tire rotation and maintaining air pressures.

On my second set. Doubt I'll go with anything else in the future.

Absolutely. They do get noisy as they age though. But the first 15-20k are quiet as anything.

I didn't see intolerable noise until about the 40k mark. The least 10k were a bit loud lol.
