Default Time for a new battery?

After a long 100 mile trip a couple days ago, I parked it in an awkward spot so I had the hazards on for five hours. Today I got a warning the 12v battery was low. It's it time for a new battery? I'm pretty sure the efficient LED blinkers can last for at least 10 hours, not five. It started right up though

take it on a long drive to recharge it. having the hazards on for that long not only runs the LEDs on the outside but keeps the BCM alive because the BCM is what controls the turn signals and hazards

Ah, BCM, didn't think of that. I had the bright idea of driving it around the city for a while, but the PowerBoost battery kept kicking in and shutting down the engine. LOL

Put it in tow/haul mode and it keeps the engine going. Or just throw a trickle charger to top it off.

I think putting a charger on it is the best option...

Buy you a good one.

Can't use a trickle charger, I'm parked outside on the street. The driveway's too short so that's out, I live near the beach so land is at a premium.

The dealership said it shouldn't have happened so they reprogrammed it. I will see if it pops up again when I start it in a couple days from now.

I would run an extension cord and setup a plug on the truck to hook up a charger.

Hybrid battery is what charges your 12v battery (through DC/DC converter) so even if the engine is cycling on and off the 12v is charging at the same rate as if the engine was running full time.
