Default Tailgate w/Work Surface

Does your tailgate have the factory sprayed on bed liner sprayed on it when you order the box utility package? I saw a review of a truck on YouTube and the edges around the work surface were not lined. Please correct me if I am wrong.

mine is lined with the spray in - hopefully what you are looking for?

Edit:
mine is a 2021 version though, not sure if that plays into anything.

This YouTube link at the 55 second mark shows the tailgate and it appears the liner wasn’t sprayed all the way to the bottom of it and the bed.

My bed was completely done, lower tailgate, etc, but I got it done after. Is that what the "factory" bedliner is like? If so, I would suggest everyone get it done afterwards.

i watched ford prep mine (done after it arrived) and they removed the work surface and sprayed the tailgate and then put the work surface back on.

That was why I had a factory spray-in liner, and it's lined. I don't trust the aftermarkets that much and some dealers may try to cut corners.

I am having my liner done today. Will post up some pics when they get done. Aftermarket can be better than factory if the right place does it. Typically Line-x is a thicker liner than factory. I am having them add the UV protection to my liner which you can’t get from the factory.

Locally owned businesses that do a good job often rely on referrals for their business and they want their customers happy.

Unless you're not planning on having a tonneau cover or truck cap, that's a waste of money.

Personally, I'll never own a truck without one or the other. I have a Retrax Pro MX on the current F150 - it's my second or third F150 in a row with one on there.

I had an ARE Z-Series cap on my 2017 F350 Powerstroke Super Duty. I miss that truck, but sure don't miss what I'd be paying for fuel right now!
