We have a new F150 and I dont want it all scratched up now or ever. Any accessories or inventions that can help a guy out?

Like the outside of it or the bed side of it? Spray liner for the bed side, and PPF for the out side is my only thoughts.

I think I've heard about something ....what is it.
Let me think.

Oh, bed liner is what they call it.
I'm not sure if this thread is real?

There is a bed liner called Bed Rug. I installed it. But itcovers the floor and sides, including the tailgate. But when I installed it I had to cut out access holes for the power outlet and lights inside the bed… which require double sided carpet tape-it didn’t come with the Bed Rug. Anyway, if you get a piece of carpeting that doesn’t mind getting wet you could cut it to fit the tailgate, hem it and attach with the carpet tape.

Yeah the tailgate........I have a spray in bedliner but my question has to do with the tailgate. Notice I used that word not the bed area, see how that's different?

I thought of the rug but wonder if I load my lawnmower with ramps if I'll end up scratching the plastic on the tailgate top surface. The good news is that with that cool C-Clamp provision on the gate, I could probably make a thin plywood protector for little or nothing. I recon that it would be some sort of overlapping 90 degree affair that attach easily.

I'd buy the thing if it existed.

Right, but OP didn't specify why the outside of the tailgate will see any additional damages than the rest of the vehicle, like the driver door that is always handled.

Option I can suggest to protect the exterior is to buy a mountain bike carry pad.

To use a truck as a truck it's likely inevitable. Just be as careful as possible.

Is there anything specific you are thinking of, that you might do, that might damage the tailgate?
