Default Tail Light Issue

Noticed this after washing my new truck (did not notice when doing the walkaround before taking delivery). These are the LED tails on the Lariat 502a. Looks like a sloppy sealant job when the lights were assembled. More prominent on the drivers side, but it exists on both sides. Anyone else have this? Going to raise the issue with the dealer and try to get them replaced, but just curious how common of a problem this is.

I spoke to the dealer about this. They checked other trucks on the lot, all showing the same sloppy glue job on the tails. Service manager and techs agree that this is sloppy and not right. We'll see what comes out of this...

hate to break it to you but if you do get them replaced, chances are the new ones aren't going to be any better. I hope they are but there is that chance

Completely agree. Especially since all other trucks on the dealer lot are the same, although some worse than others. Even mine, the drivers side is worse than the passenger side. I'm ok to wait it out, no rush in getting them replaced, and truth be told I could live with it permanently if there is no solution.

Unless it's causing water ingress I wouldn't worry about it. Nobody is ever going to notice something like that.

No issues so far, although I've only had the truck for 2 weeks. I didn't notice until the other day when washing it and agreed, not something easily noticed. Yet, still a sloppy job and am surprised they are all like this.

I get it, honestly I'm disappointed in the build quality overall from Ford. My current 2020 seems not as well put together as my 2015 was. Not that I had any major issues, but for the price they charge I'd expect a little bit better quality on the fit and finish. Coming from a German car (at half the price of these trucks) it's a night and day difference. I'd keep an eye on it for water leaks, if they hold up then I'd just live with it, it's probably not worth the hassle of getting them changed out.

Yeah, as I said will just wait it out and see what comes of it with the dealer, since they agreed with my opinion on it. Will provide an update if there ever is one. Was just curious if others have the same thing. Thanks.
