Default SYNC 4 Problems

I have a 2023 Powerboost. Last week it failed to start for an hour or so. The dealership found out it is a system problem that Ford knows about but hasn't figured out how to fix. Anyone else experience this?

...It... being the Infotainment screen? Almost sounds like you are saying the truck wouldn't start since you mentioned it being a 2023 PowerBoost then said "it failed to start", but the title is Sync 4... so hoping that's what you mean.

I am not aware of the infotainment screen not starting for an hour, but have had the black screen a few times on my 2021 F-150 (hasn't happened on my 2023). It's pretty easy to fix, just holding down power and seek forward for about 10 seconds which will restart the module and fixes 99% of Sync 4 issues that are intermittent like that. The screen will restart and life will go on.

It may not be a problem with sync 4. Its a computer system problem that is not fixable until Ford figures it out. The truck would not start and told me to have it serviced.

I will try what you suggested to hopefully fix some of the glitches I've experienced. Thank you!

Oh wow, yeah that's odd if the truck itself wouldn't start. Not sure how long you have had it and if you use FordPass, but do you get messages in FordPass that the truck has gone to Deep Sleep fairly often? I am getting that with my 2023 and didn't get it once with my 2021, even when I didn't drive it for two weeks. I think it has a faulty 12V battery or some other drain issue, and wonder if your truck couldn't properly run everything. Not sure why it would clear up after an hour though... just thinking out some ideas.

5 months, 8500 miles. I drive it daily. Battery checks out. Two hours at the dealership yesterday and that's what they diagnosed. Told me to keep my fingers crossed the issue is fixed before it happens again. Tough when I live in an area with spotty cell service. Love that engine though!

The problem is with the PCM not SYNC. I'm not sure how to change the title of a thread.

You can't. Only forum admins can do that.
