Default Still on setting after many update

After many updates in my 23 f150 it's still at settings screen on start up!
Now my screen sometimes takes minutes to boot up.

My truck has been doing this recently.

I did some testing...

If I have my phone and Sync set to use Android Auto then when I start the truck Sync has to process that request and does so by starting in the settings screen and then processes the request to open Android Auto before opening Android Auto on the Sync screen.

If I have Sync set to connect to my phone and not Android Auto, then when I start my truck Sync opens to the "Home" screen.

That's been my experience so far anyway.

Tried that and it still starts at system screen. The Ford dealership says that it may get fixed in a further update, but really no answers yet

I just started a new case with Ford. I communicated directly with Ford through this forum for a few days. During a phone call from Ford I was asked to take my truck to my dealer so that they could officially open a case. I did this yesterday.

Today, I got a quick flash on the screen telling me of another update. It now works correctly again. It will be interesting to see if it sticks.

It didn't stick. Almost 24 hrs after it started working it went back to malfunctioning again. We will see what happens next.

Drove it twice today. First time it worked perfectly. Second time it was screwed up. Ford has an issue that needs to be corrected.

As an update to the issue, it still does not work properly. My truck has told me for many days that it has an update to install. For whatever reason it won't/can't install it. I have allowed it to try and install it automatically and have tried to install manually. My dealer is at a loss as to what it will take to make it work properly. Candace from the Ford Social Media Team offered some hope if my dealer initiated a work order to Ford asking for a solution. Nothing!!! Time will tell if this is ever resolved. My opinion of Ford's expertise in the area software is that they are technically very handicapped. I hope that I am wrong but, of the five new Fords I have owned since 2017 three have had electrical or programming issues. One was bad enough that the truck was replace by Ford. I am sure that there will be more to come.
