Swing cases and bed divider - any solution?
I thought of that, and originally I was planning just to get passenger side case only. But then I realized that I need more onboard storage... and the case is very easy to remove; so let's say I go camping, and I need access to those power outlets, I can simply leave driver side case at home... but most of the time, I won't need access to those outlets.
I have the two swing cases and I use a bed bar like this:
It's enough to keep things from sliding forward, and easy to get out of the way for bigger loads. I also use it to secure things like my lawn mower when it needs to take a field trip (pun intended). Much more useful than a plastic wall that can only be mounted in certain places.

I like the Unruli Transformer storage box. I don't like the price however.

P.S. Joke of the week: I ordered 2 swing cases - one for each side; passenger side arrived without T40 torx bolts. I contacted local Ford dealership for such bolt, and part department guy tells "go buy another CAD $300 case to get the bolts"
. Luckily, online store from which I bought the cases, contacted the vendor and they will send the bolts directly to me...
Coming from a Ridgeline with that huge under bed storage area, I really needed something like the swing cases. A bed box would take up too much useful space for me.
I can easily see a way to build a bed divider that would attach to the box link using $40 in parts and $40 in lumber, paint and hardware.

What are you intending to store in the swing cases? I ask because Ive already gone thru 2 boxes and im on my 3rd, used parts from the other 2 to repair the 3rd box.
The issues ive had so far are:
the plastic lid hinges tore , the locking tab for the keylock came loose and no longer locked or sealed and water came in, The slider bar to lock the swing inplace tabs broke, the mounting plate attached to the case broke and or case cracked, The brand sticker on one came off.
personally and from experience..... I would not recommend these. I store a tow strap, a hammer, small husky air compressor, a collapsible bolt cutter, and an electrical circuit tester. With time, the rocking and vibrations from the truck hitting bumps holes and what not will cause the same issues Im experiencing. I originally thought it was the brand itself, but they are all made the same and a company just slaps its logo on and calls it a day. These are supposedly rated for "upto" 80lbs, mine with time couldnt handle 20lbs.
First purchase came with steel self tapping screws, for aluminum body trucks this is a no no, i had to make a run to the hardware store for bolts to mount the bracket.

As for the boxes, they are all the same, the lids might have different configurations but still the same (universal). I purchased a replacement on offer up from a guy with a Silverado, the bracket was for his vehicle. I figured the bracket wouldnt work but the box would. Which it did, it mounted to my vehicle specific mounting bracket with no issues, or adjustment.
