Default Stopping data upload to Ford?

Well, I went on my Ford account to check for the Ford points. I was very surprised to find my gas tank level and total miles listed.
Don't know about you, but I really don't like my truck tattling on me (and what else is it reporting!?!).
Am I going to get a call from Ford telling me I gained a few pounds and stop visiting Krispy Kreme?

Is there any way to shut this off?

Sure is sell your truck and cell phone, then go buy a pre 2000 truck and a rotary phone. Get used to it everything you do is being tracked and put into someone data base.

There is an upside to this. If you add the Ford Pass App to your phone, you can schedule a start, unlock and lock the doors, as well as see where your truck is.

There is a setting in your touchscreen where you can control the data your truck shares by selecting certain things on and off. However, when you decide not to share the data, you are also preventing your vehicle from sharing analytical data including any codes it may be reporting that would help dealers diagnose issues and problem like in the screenshot below. Certain things you turn off may have an effect on your Fordpass functions, too.

Thank you. I do not want to shut off data that can diagnose an issue, just of personal info.
Is that a FORScan screen of accessible through the touch screen?

No, that is from PTS which is Ford's dealer technician website. That is from a VIN of a forum member's truck that has some issues I was trying to help him with.

Well, From feedback and searching, I guess Ford does let you shut stuff off.
Settings>Connected Vehicle Features

Then there are the options after top selections. It says Blue Cruise will not operate but I will see if Cruise Control still does

Vehicle connectivity, switch it to off, problem solved. That’s where I put mine. I don’t care about any of that stuff anyway. As you can see, you can pick and choose what you want to send to them. There has been more than one report of vehicle manufacturers selling driving data to Lexis Nexus. They in turn sell it to the insurance companies and they in turn have been raising rates for drivers. This alone was enough for me to flip that switch. I’m not a crazy driver by any stretch of the imagination, but no thank you.

In 5 years, there will be a lawsuit because turning those off will have been found to have turned off no data sharing, just like Google's non-incognito mode incognito mode. I just assume everything is accessed and saved all the time- truck, phone, everything.
