Need to start my truck with the Hood open and using the Remote Start to find a rattle noise. It will not start if the Hood is open. Is there a safety switch on the front some where the hood pushes it down down when closed? I can't find it. Thank you

the sensor is near the latch mechanism, this thread should help you.

There is an electrical wire coming from the switch on the hood latch that shorts out to chassis ground when hood is shut, put a jumper wire on that to bypass the switch.
