Question Hood Ajar Warning

I am getting a constant "Hood Ajar" message that I'm pretty sure is false. This keeping my remote start from working which is the most annoying part.

Does anyone know where the pin is located on the newer F-150's? Or is it like the Rams and built into the closing latch?

Thanks!

Not sure where the pin is located but I had a false alarm the other day after checking my oil. Even though the hood appeared to be closed, I guess it wasn't as I popped it opened and shut it again and the problem went away without resurfacing.

I was working on mine over the weekend and opened and closed the hood numerous times. I just can't get mine to clear.

I believe there is also a separate pin located halfway up the left side.

Ford needs to teach these vehicles the big metal section covering the engine is NOT a jar but a hood or bonnet for the Brits. They need to get it to speak English.

My hood ajar started to come on this week. Now when park the alarm will go off on its own, and I can only assume is because it sense the hood is open. It is a pressure switch within the latch system. Not sure if it is covered by warranty or even worth taking it to the dealership. I'm starting to look for the switch. Anyone has a pointer where to look for one?

I meant that I'm starting to look for a new switch/sensor to purchase.
