Default Speedometer and Radio Issues

Hello all! I have a 2021 Ford F150, I have been having two reoccurring issues with my ownership the last two years. I purchased the truck used and there have not been any modifications with the suspension or tire size.

I have found my analog speedometer is sometimes 2-3 miles per hour off from the digital one. I found this happens regularly when I am driving the first trip of the day, however after a couple trips it generally will become exact to the digital speedometer. I would say about 50 percent of the time the speedometer is exact with the digital. I have also verified the accuracy of the digital speedometer with speed scientific tools.

My second problem is my radio controls (volume, input, and tune) either do not work or are VERY delayed. This always occurs for at least the first 10 minutes of the first trip and can get better when the truck is running longer, however not always the case.

Truck has been to Ford 4 times for this issue and they just keep saying it’s an update issue so they do some updates and charge me a bunch of money for the same issue. I have complained to them numerous times of them not fixing it and they keep saying it’s an update issue. I have called other dealers and they said they have never heard of the issue.

Not sure if any of you guys have seen this issue or have any recommendations. Thank you

Do you have automatic updates set to on for the radio?

As for Speed readings, no idea, other than to share that having digital and old school analog at the same time makes zero sense to me. I rarely look at the analog on my 21 XLT. Bet if you ran a speedo on your iphone/android, that it would say another different number.

I do have automatic updates on and it says it is current. I mainly look at the digital one, just wasn’t sure if the issues could be related.

thank you!

Have a 23 notice the speedometer issue as well I haven't bothered to mention it. I just drive 2 to 3 over and know I'm going at least the speed limit. My guess and from some threads around the web ford engineering wise is gonna have it set so if it's off its under not over. That was noone can come back and blame ford for speeding but that could all be speculation. At the end of the day it's a minor annoyance. Radio thing is a bit weird though mine might be a fraction of a second short but not like your describing.
