Has anyone tried getting an IR filter and placing it over the mirror light sensor?

Bluecruise LED's forcing dim mirrors to be on constantly defeats the purpose of having dimming mirrors. Can be an issue trying to back up your driveway at night with them darkened.

Dimming mirrors aren't a safety requirement demanded by law. Clear mirrors, on the other hand...

Yes I did try an I R filter it did not work. What **** me off is when Ford starts saying this is normal. I have had 5 F150s with these mirrors. I know how they work. They will be fixing this problem they just don't know it yet

Must be emitting some near visible light the IR filter does not attenuate.

Anyone have an IR/optical/UV spectrometer?

I put some window tint over the mirror sensor and it helps. I probably need one more layer or darker tint to get prevent it from darkening the mirror enough.
