Default On-screen text messages

I'm sure this question is often asked, so point me at the thread if I've missed it; is there a hack / mod / setting that will allow me to view text messages while the vehicle is in motion?
I exchange numerous business text messages every day, and often that is from the seat of my truck. I am comfortable with replying while using voice to text, but it's necessary to be able to proof read to ensure accuracy before sending.

The charging pad in my 2022 is useful, but if I can't find a way around the text issue, I will have to revert to a phone holder again.

With that as a fallback position, has anyone found a mount that could be applied where the Pro-backup control installs? That would be a great location for the phone.

As said above, use wireless Carplay or Android Auto. Makes it easy.

My truck reads texts, whatsapp etc messages to me, and gives me the ability to dictate and send a response. Its huge for my productivity.

It only says the text out loud, not read on screen.

Yeah, that. I have the same truck as you. Voice to text is great if you are just chatting with friends and wives. But when dealing with clients and subcontractors, I really need to be sure my message is on point and I didn't just send a garbled or insulting message thanks to autocorrect.

I work construction also so I understand. Here is what I do when I need to answer a text without emergency but provide customer service.

I usually voice to text to say I am driving and when I stop I will respond and acknowledge them. Sometimes I just call them direct instead of sending a text back and then follow up with an email - per our conversation for records. I know voice to text has come a long way but ya I do not want to mess up, the good thing is carplay reads it back before asking if I would like to send.

Accuracy is much higher with Gboard, not Samsung. I don't know if you're using a Samsung or an iPhone, but I trust Google the most when it comes to accuracy.

I use GBoard with my Samsung, but I still need to see what I say before I send. I was hoping there was an AA or Forscan workaround to skip the moving vehicle limitations, but it sounds like I'm back to a phone mount.
