I can feel it in the steering wheel and the brake pedal. You can see the visor mirror vibrating too. No dtc's and the fuel trims are good. My 2018 2.7 was smooth. I have had a level of issues with my truck to say I am not 100% happy I bought it and it is my 4th F150. My dealer where I bought my last 3 sold between the 2nd and 3rd truck purchases. The salesman is still there and is great, the service department is terrible. I had to tell the service manager how to do certain diagnostics for my issues and they still couldn't resolve all of them.
Yes mine the same way. I can feel it really bad in the steering wheel, brake pedal and if you open the door it shakes as well. It is super annoying and not what I was expecting from a new truck when you pay almost 50k. Anyone have any resolve for this or something I could do to make it work? Sounds like Ford is not going to do anything unless an engine code pops up or recall is put out. Maybe manually tweaking the idle to sit at a higher RPM when stopped to try to fix it a bit for now?

you said you took yours into the dealer and there were “micro codes” they found. We’re you able to take it in and any resolve or something they have done to fix it?

I have a 2021 f-150 XL STX 2.7 with 3500 miles and occasionally have a rough idle when I'm stopped but still in drive. When I shift to park it goes away, and never happens upon start up (while in park). So if its only occasionally happening in drive I wonder if its a transmission issue, like not disengaging properly, etc. It also has some pretty rough shifts from time to time. When on the highway in 10th gear, it will start to bog down instead of downshifting unless I really give her gas. Anyone have something similar?

My 2018 has the latest TSB computer flash and now the engine vibrates when I’m idling at a stop in gear. The vibrating stops when I shift to neutral then returns when I go into drive. Didn’t have this before the re program Ford did for latest tsb. I have had the phaser replacement before that tsb came out. Every now and then while driving in slow traffic I notice a bogging down noise and shutter when speeding up in lower gears. My biggest worry is the engine vibration at idle. Anyone know why and any fixes?

Mine has a sort of tremble that comes and goes during idle. It lasts may 10 seconds and then smooths out for 10 seconds and comes back. I will try the higher octane too and see if that helps. The cost will be painful, but a couple of folks have told me they get better mileage with it.

Default No better with high octane fuel

I have a 2021 platinum with about 12k miles. I've been experiencing the same rough idle, and it's getting worse. It seems to get better after it warms up but that's the only thing that helps besides giving it gas. At 800 RPMs the idle goes away. I tried higher octane fuel with no luck, I think it actually got worse. However after the first service the truck ran amazing for about 1,000 miles and the rough idle disapered. This made me think it could be something related to the fuel filter. I'm due another service soon so I'm interested to see if it gets better again. On top of the rough idle, I've also had several instances where I've had no throttle response during take off. Dealer says there's nothing they can do, that it's just how these new trucks run. The only thing I like about the truck at this point is the interior. The thing runs like crap. I'm definitely missing my GMC. This will probably be my first and last Ford

Default PowerBoost Idle Quirk

Vehicle on, electric mode, in gear, turn wheel off center enough to engage power steering, hold brake.

does your steering wheel feel like it's humming too? Like, physically under the wrap...buzzing or vibrating.

Caught it this morning. Weird sensation

I've noticed a bit of a rough idle on mine too, so I did the idle relearn procedure yesterday. Maybe seems a bit better, but I really need to drive more to tell. This is the process:
  1. With vehicle at a complete stop, set the parking brake.
  2. Put gear shifter in "P" (Park), turn off all accessories.
  3. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.
  4. Allow engine to idle for at least one minute.
  5. Turn the air conditioning on and allow the engine to idle for at least one minute.
  6. Release the parking brake. With your foot on the brake pedal and the A/C still on, put the vehicle in "D" (Drive) and allow the engine to idle for at least one minute.
  7. Drive the vehicle to complete the relearning process. Just make sure you drive easy for the first 30 miles, so the PCM can re-learn and adapt to your driving style.
