Replacement Battery
I was just told by my dealer by battery needs to be replaced as the Auto Start/Stop left me stranded a couple of times at intersections having to shut the truck off and having to re-start it... I was debating seeing if I have some room to put an H7 battery in as I have an aftermarket inverter in the truck and the fuses were put there limiting me on putting an H8 in for sure. I remember reading a thread for the life of me I can't find now, but do I have to change something with forscan to let it know its going to be an H7 instead of an H6 battery? I am going to go measure that even an h7 will fit, but I just wanted to make sure if there is something I need to change. Thanks

Trying to use the secret decoder ring for this post.
If you have a PowerBoost, you need to get an H7 to fit
If not, you can fit an H8.
I put in an H8 in my 21 and it fixed evry issue I had with start stop not working, etc,
I didn't use forscan to change anything.

I have posted on this before. I am still having an issue with the auto stop start system, On my 21 Platinum 5.0. On numerous occasions it has failed to even attempt to restart. I have to put the truck in park and push the start button. No messages on the dash. It's been to 2 different dealerships over the last 7 months. And low battery will not cause this problem, it will however disable auto stop system.

Guys: H8 for sure, with BMS reset.
My PB came with H7, and kept going to deep sleep. After a lot of fighting, I got H8 in, and been happy, but that BMS module is now hanging outside (instead of being attached to the battery).
Important: in addition to replacing your main battery, consider replacing the aux battery under the rear bench, especially if your truck is 2021 or 2022. RockAuto is your friend. I replaced mine (and "accidentally" upgrade to 2 Aux battery, connected in parallel), and all is peachy now on battery front. My factory aux battery was discharging the main battery when truck was off.
Forgot to mention: Forscan battery charge to 99%, that of course helped too.
