Default Repeated failure to load update

I have had an update fail to load for several weeks. This is a 'priority update, on board diagnostics.' The failure message says 'Update delayed. The update was postponed because it was interrupted by another process.' And then it is rescheduled for later in the day, but with the same results.

Is there something wrong with the setup in the truck? I have never had any problems with updates getting loaded before. Thanks.

Here's betting your battery lacks the power to complete the update. Put it on a charger. After that reset the BMS and see if it takes.

If that doesn't work, I'm going to suggest a fresh battery. Four years was all mine lasted. So, you may be at that point.

"Interrupted by another process" means the 12v battery is below spec 99% of the time.

Please let us know if that works. I'm having a similar issue, and would like to know if that fixes it.

Just to add to this, my truck is 1-year-old, and I even had an issue with the battery just because I hadn't driven the truck in a few days and I was driving my other vehicles. It took four or five tries for the update to go through and it ultimately worked after I took it for a longer ride. These things are 12V hogs lol.

Had same issue. Truck was 2 years old and battery spun the motor over like it didn't have any spark plug in it! Was shocked after calling Ford to be told it was low voltage. I explained I kept and battery tender on it. Their reply was "it never got over the needed threshold to allow it to complete". I installed a new H-8 Interstate battery and since installed, every update sailed through.

Default Success!!

Put the truck on a trickle charger all day, with the update programmed to install at 1600. Checked just now, and the install was successful.

Having recently retired, I no longer drive the truck 40 min each way twice a day, now just a few days a week. I have also occasioanally been getting the read out that says 'system off to save battery' .

I guess there is a new battery in the near future.
