Default Refined Audio Update

Has anyone else lost the amount of volume with this update 23-PU1024-6CH-AUD? When using Carplay apps I lost at least 60% of the volume, not as bad via the radio. Is there a setting I now have to change? All my audio setting stayed the same nothing is different.

Many people have reported this issue on this and other forums. Ford is aware of the problem at this point, but there is no time-table for when the fix will be sent out. It seems to only be affecting ICE F150's; the Lightnings that got the update do not seem to be affected. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do for now.

I provided the VIN numbers of several affected vehicles to Ford engineering yesterday so they can start to investigate the issue. Many people have called Ford to complain about the issue, as well. I was told by the contact at Ford that this has been brought to the attention of many people right after I told them about the complaints popping of across several forums. Due to the nature of how software updates and update fixes work with legacy brands, I am afraid there is no quick fix coming. The fix will require them to work with 3rd party vendors and these things take time.

Sucks.....I know.

I have the same problem. I have the B&O system and the subwoofer doesn’t work anymore. I wonder if the dealer can fix it.

In the past, I knew that volume from anything other than the head unit (sirius, radio) had reduced volume compared to the head unit (past thread on low volume from android auto via usb or blutooth). Well, today on a trip, I realized that the terrestrial and satellite radio were now at about the same level where the android auto or other external sources used to be.

I'm uncertain if the sub isn't working any more... i couldn't really tell.

I'll have to watch this thread to see how this issue gets resolved.

After a drive tonight... i think terrestrial radio is at or near the volume it used to be... not sure if the sub is there or not.

but... satellite is now at least as soft as usb/blutooth sources used to be. not sure if as a group they are even softer than usb/blutooth used to be.

I have the issue as well. The subwoofer is working but the volume is very low.

This has been awful. I have this issue on my 2021 XLT with the B&O audio system. Hoping for a fix soon.
