Default rear replacement shock

I have a 2021 XF4 4x4 regular cab. I did my usual oil change at 90K miles and rotated tires. I noticed the rear shocks are showing signs of leakage.
a sticker on the shock has 086 7829 below 1A101444-A then ML34 18080 NA

Looking on Flea Bay I see a lot of low mile takes offs with part number ML34 18080 but different letters and 1a1 number.

Are these the same shocks but letters are just year and production numbers?

I would upgrade but truck is mostly a daily driver with winter in Ohio and towing a car hauler every few weekends in the summer

Just went to check my old there in the garage, they are ML34 18080 1A101320-A, 2022 F150 FX4 Off Road PKG

Looks like the Key is ML3418080 part number

Change both when doing it.

If you are replacing your shocks yourself, I would go to Ford and give them your VIN if you haven't used that dealer already and just purchase from them. I have had trouble purchasing auto parts from ebay in the past. You are probably saving a few hundred in labor if replacing yourself and you get a two year warranty on the shocks. If you purchase from ebay, a 90 day warranty is the best you will probably get. Just a suggestion of course.

I have a set of oem take offs from a 25 stx 4x4 with less than 1000 miles on them. I'd give you a smoking deal if you want them. They'd be shipping from 60431.

I'd suggest Bilstein 4600. Its designed for stock height trucks and provides a better ride than 5100.

5100 is best for lifted/leveled trucks including those with bigger than stock tires.

Forgot to mention short bed. did use a ford online parts lookup using the VIN number shows ASH1266 ML34 18080. EU Rock Auto shows Motorcraft but not ASH1266 -however do list a replacement in Bilstein, Fox
not lifted but did lower the rear to get the truck a little more level
my Zipcode 44502 Youngstown Ohio. and I do most of the mechanical work myself - Have a lift in the garage

Can you get rid of the front end rake by getting the 5100's and bumping up the front notches 2 inches?
