Default Rattle in door

My 2021 XLT Supercab seems to have a rattle somewhere in the drivers side doors, only on bumpy city streets. I'm not sure if it's in the back of the front door or the front of the back door, or maybe between them as they rub together. It kinda right by my left ear. Sounds like something tapping on the plastic. Has anyone ever had this problem and if so how did you fix it ? .... Thank You.

I know that someone is going to say take it back to the dealer under warranty. And, I will . But, if I can give them a place to start looking for it will save time for both of us. They are very busy and the dealer is 50 miles away from me. Plus, these small town dealers and their young employees and sometimes not that great at doing things. And, if it takes them all day to fix it I would be stuck setting their twittleing my thumbs all day while they fix it. If I can figure it out myself first it saves us both time.

Have a nice Day

I think there is a wire in the driver door for the mirror that isn't secured snugly enough or something like that.
A few have removed the door panel and secured.
I'm not sure how to find it but I'll spend a few minutes looking for old threads on this one.

There was something in the plastic above the door panel, covering the mirror attaching hardware. There is a Youtube video of fixing it. Might have been linked here in some thread.

My 2022 STX had to go back to the dealer for a driver's door rattle. If I pushed on the area where the electric door lock button is, it would stop for a couple of feet / miles then start right back up. All good now, its the fuel mileage calculator that is giving me issues now. I've gone 400 + miles on this tank and I'm getting 0.4 miles per gallon? At least the door rattle is fixed, boomer

I had the same on my 2021 platinum and took it to the dealer. they said they couldn't reproduce it and did nothing. I watched a video on youtube (may be the same one above) and did the fix using Gorilla tape sealant tape (has a thick vinyl tape) to pad it and it worked like a charm. its in the front corner of your window where the little plastic A pillar cover is. You have to pull it off and pad the areas that touch the plastic. It wasn't hard. Did it on my driver and passenger side just in case even though I only heard it on the drivers. Now if only I can figure out the rattle coming from my back seat passenger side...

You might want to get in the back seat and have someone else drive to try to locate it.

After watching the video I will give that a try but, I don't think that's it. My rattlel sounds like it's coming more around where the seat belt goes over your shoulder and the bracket that holds it.

fatty 239's idea of having someone drive why I ride in the back seat is a good one. Someday I will do that.

Not sure this is it, but I get a rattle in that area if someone rides in the truck and the seat belt isn't returned properly. As in the buckle is facing the door instead of the soft seat. If properly returned, there is a fabric tab on the back side that goes toward the door to prevent the rattle.

Thank you for the response. I thought that maybe it was the back seat belt not being returned properly. But, that wasn't it. And, of course, if I'm driving I'm wearing the front one. Good guess, but, it's not quite it. However, the seat belt height is adjustable. It could be a problem with the part you slide up and down. I haven't been able to pin it down yet.
