A few of us have had it happen as well.

Cliff notes version: No definitive answer, but it always seems to come back on and function normally after (X) amount of time.

Seems that maybe starting the truck while my iPhone is plugged into the USB port where the wireless charger should be is related. 2 consecutive starts its acting up.. when I unplug and reset, everything is normal

My screen went blank one day after I brought it home. I removed the negative battery cable for 30 seconds, reinstalled it and everything has been fine ever since.

Has anyone confirmed with the dealership or Ford that it's not performing an update? As with many computing devices, screens can be blank during certain points of a firmware update. Not a good idea to power down/unplug or reboot in the middle of an update (if that's what's going on).

I took mine in about 5 hours after it shut off as it still hadn't come back on at that point. The dealer had it for about 4 hours when they called and said that while they were able to verify that it had shut itself off, it had since come back on by itself and they had no error codes or indication of a failure of any kind. They did a reset of the Sync 4 for good measure and called it good. Hasn't happened (knock on wood) since.

Perhaps a clove of garlic hung from mirror or a vial of holy water is solution. Our 2018 Subaru Outback had infotainment issues that wouldn't allow phone pairing, radio to play, save stations, etc. We are on 3rd replaced unit and now its fine. Probably gremlins will be repaired by updates as problems show up.

I don't know about that, but a clove of garlic IN a vile of holy water IS a solution.

Yay... chemistry jokes...

Anyone know if there is a way to purposely reboot the screen? For instance, sometimes my apple car play disconnects and rebooting my phone doesnt fix the issue. Currently I have to pull over, turn the truck off and then exit the car to reboot the system. Would be nice to be able to do it while driving.
