How do people find it annoying on their vehicle? Your not looking at your vehicle. Also I agree with the other person that said if you find it annoying then it is doing its job. Especially with all these new vehicles there are so many electronics to distract your driving its good to have something flashing in front of you when they are stopping.

My dealer stated it only actives under heavy braking but idk?
Can you post the window sticker showing this feature? I don't believe any vehicle comes with these stock as they are not legal here.

That could be interesting....what state/country?

I know that the US NHTSA complied statistics and results clearly indicating flashing Center High Mounted Stop Lamps (CHMSL) resulted in less collisions. I posted that NHTSA link on the forum within the last 10 months.

----

Some US states have this or similar laws:

CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE
SECTION 25250-25282

25251.5.
(c) ANY STOPLAMP OR SUPPLEMENTAL STOPLAMP REQUIRED OR PERMITTED BY SECTION 24603 MAY BE EQUIPPED TO FLASH NO MORE THAN 4 TIMES WITHIN THE FIRST 4 SECONDS AFTER BEING ACTIVATED BY THE APPLICATION OF THE BRAKES.

----

Dealer/Repair Shop Modification: It is against US federal law for Dealers/Repair Shops to install flashing brake modules.
Owner Modification: US federal law does not strictly prohibit owners from modifying their own vehicles with flashing brake modules. However, it must still follow the laws of the state where it's operated.

----

Europe has been using adaptive or dynamic flashing brake lighting for over 20 years. US car manufacturers provide adaptive or dynamic lighting on units sold in Europe.

----

AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking is the long term goal.
