No but for real, is there anything different on the bed end of things with the PAT? If I purchase an STX with regular old tailgate, can I just find a PAT and throw it on there or is there some bracket or sumpin else that only PAT-equipped beds come with? I hope not. That's the plan, get a cheaper model, add the fancy tailgate maybe.

More on the topic: One of the sale folks told me they swapped a TG with another different model tail gate on the lot once. They joked while I was ordering mine ( I offered to order a pro gate) that they would order a XLT w Utility package and swap gate for me. However, the more I have thought about this something tells me there's more to it than that. The Standard Gate on a 501A has pwr open/drop but not pwr close. The Pro Gate come with pwr both ways up and down. Plus, due to the horizontal opening feature of the Pro Gate I'm thinking there may be some hardware differences? From what the sales guys were saying about changing one on the lot I am thinking they were talking about swapping a standard with a ladder gate which comes with the utility package on the trim levels below Lariat. 2026 Lariats and up trim levels do not offer the utility package without the Pro gate. Big mistake I think... Once mine arrives I may ($$) start searching junkyards for a 23/24 ladder gate and have it painted to match, replace plastic with new if needed and swap out. The 2023 Lariats had the Ladder only option.
