Default Pro Power Overload Message Nothing Plugged In

I had a message pop up immediately after starting that said something along the lines that Pro Power detected a plugged in device using too much power and was shut down (or overload I dont remember exact wording). I did not have Pro Power turned on or anything connected to any outlet in the truck. Never had any problems or error messages with Pro Power before. I thought I saw some other threads about wiring harness problems but could not locate them to see if my issue is similar.

Update: Happened again. Message states: "Pro Power Onboard Turned Off Item(s) plugged in exceed the systems maximum capacity. try unplugging one or more items and reset"

@Fordstream

Were you ever able to resolve this issue with the Pro Power Onboard Turned Off fault? If yes, what was the cause, and how do you resolve it?

This has plagued my vehicle for probably a year.

Thanks!

No, but it only happened a couple of times and dealer could not reproduce. I recently came back from an extended trip and used it almost daily for last 4 months without any problems. As far as I can remember the original error was not associated with a rain event and it has been driven through many intense rainfalls since then with no issues.

I would not let this go. Ford has many electrical issues that are intermittent and difficult for the dealer to reproduce. However, the fact that they can't reproduce the issue on demand does not mean that it isn't real. If, in the future, it decides to become less intermittent or some kind of a total failure it will be your problem. It could also affect your ability to sell this unit in the future.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not letting any of the issues go. I've never sold a vehicle to anyone without pointing out all the known issues, and the three issues I have, including this one, would be deal breakers that would limit my ability to sell the vehicle.

I spoke with dealers and inquired if Ford has a team of field engineers assisting all the dealers with all of these issues that dealers can't figure out. They laughed at me and said it takes at least a month to get access to a Ford field engineer to assist. They've told me they've had vehicles sitting on their lot with unresolved issues they can't fix for up to eight months. I was dumbfounded.
