I've not experienced that delayed acceleration condition on my powerboost and I do a left from a stoplight onto a busy 40 mph road near my home multiple times a day, so it must not be all trucks. I think it sounds like some sensor is misbehaving but not enough to send a code (assuming you've looked for codes). Good luck in figuring it out and I hope someone here can give you a solution. I wouldn't be happy if I had to do a work around every time I came up to a stop.
