PowerBoost Production Delay?
Placing an order today for a 2021 F-150 PowerBoost and the dealer says “my rep is telling me that hybrid production won’t start until the second quarter of next year”. Anyone else hearing this?
I went to 7 diff dealers in my area before placing an order. Some dealers told me powerboost was late availability mid 2021, and some told me they have powerboost landing dec/January. I am located in BC Canada

Interesting....doesn’t make sense to me that Ford would keep buyers waiting until Q2 next year for delivery, so I am wondering if the dealer isn’t being completely straight with me. I’m hesitant to take my business elsewhere, though, since this particular dealer is quoting me the best deal by a significant margin.
My understanding is the powerboost is getting produced right now. There are a few people with stock vin’s with a production date in the next couple of weeks. I haven’t heard of an vins from retail orders yet but expected in the next few weeks. My guess is the low volume dealers will be waiting for the powerboost but an order should go through in the typical time (whatever that is) once okay to build is achieved

In another forum it appears the Dearborn plant will be at okay to build nov9. I called around to some dealers and have the same date and others are saying Aprilish.

I wouldn't be surprised. So many features are always "late availability ".
if I read the order guide correctly, seems that non hybrid versions can have a plain Jane 110v outlet in the bed. Limited to a sub 400w output.
Plenty for the small camping fridge I'd like to get out of the cab.
