Default Possible to add tailgate work surface?

Just got a 21 XLT 302A a couple weeks ago. Got pretty much everything I wanted minus the new tailgate work surface. I was wondering if anyone knew if it's possible to just add the panel to my existing tailgate, and if so where it can be acquired, or if an entirely new tailgate is needed...

The base tailgate and the work surface tailgate are different stampings. The plastic piece won't fit.

This is only partially accurate info. The only difference between the tailgate stamping itself is with or without flexible step.

With that being said, you can only get the work station surface on a tailgate that has a step in it.

So it can be added if you have the step built in your tailgate.

Did you miss the part where I said "base tailgate"? What part of that is partially accurate? If you have the flexible step, you already have the work surface.

Can 2021 tailgate work surface be added to a 2020 XLT that has the tailgate step?

No. The stampings are completely different.
