Pinion angle
I have done 3 trucks so far 2020 5.0 and a 2021 5.0 and 2022 2.7 that was the same owner. I installed air bags on the 2021 so the customer could tow his boat. None of these customers have had any complaints of vibrations all trucks were supercrew short box. My 2022 will either get the block removal and shackle which will probably need a shim or a flip kit this summer .
I hear you but there is a shim in there for a reason. I'm not taking that chance. I'd rather raise the front slightly.
My 2022 145"WB SuperCab 6.5' box Lariat had OE spacer blocks 1.25" thick with no taper (carefully measured and confirmed) and no separate tapered shim.
That truck has a long one-piece driveshaft with no intermediate support or joint between the T-case and the differential (that may be the longest driveshaft of all configurations?).
When I removed the blocks I also installed the shorter 2WD bump-stops to regain full suspension travel (I verified clearances at maximum compression to the stops, the worst-case condition I never expect to encounter).
In that specific case removal of the spacer blocks has the effect of reducing the pinion angle at rest. The angle of the differential did not change relative to 'chassis level line' (confirmed with a laser level). The differential pinion>driveshaft angles at extremes of suspension travel are equal or less than a 2WD truck having all other things equal. No worries!
Your situation may vary depending on your exact drivetrain configuration.
