Default Phone Holder

Tried Amazon, no luck. Curious if anyone has found a phone holder/mount designed to fit in the space the shifter is stowed if you fold it down?

I haven’t seen one specifically designed for that space, but the WeatherTech CupFone might fit well. If you’re open to other locations check out ProClip. I have their mount that goes just above the driver side center vent and it’s excellent.

my 2021 XLT shifter is on the column, so I'm not sure what yours looks like, but I have a suction cup phone mount that I placed inside the front "box". The wall is high enough and the side is smooth enough that I placed the suction cup vertically and the phone mount (mine is an iPhone 13 Pro Max) sticks up just above the console and doesn't hide anything except a little bit of the climate control.

Not sure I would make a habit of keeping stuff there. I wouldn't want to take a chance damaging the shifter.

Or it getting in the way. I have a habit of putting my sunglasses case in that little nook. The case always gets in my way when I go to shift from drive to reverse or park. Yet I keep putting it there.

I might be in the minority but I don't like this new shifter. It feels cheap. I wish Ford had went with a rotary dial.

I thought I was the only one that thought a dial would have been better? I never thought I would like one, but have become used to it on the wife's Expedition. On the dash would have been a good spot, so we could use the fold flat work station as the vehicle is moving too!

I like the new shifter well enough, but hate the dial. I think I said it in another thread here, but I want the Lincoln style buttons. Physical buttons, using generally empty space, and in a location that both column mount and console mount shifter people can easily adjust to.

Could you post a picture of this?
