Default Perimeter Plus Alarm Module Installation

Has anyone installed the Perimeter Plus shock sensor alarm themselves in their 2021 F-150's? I have installed this in my last 3 or 4 trucks. I got my 2021 Limited yesterday and that was one of the items I wanted to Add. I looked under the dash last night and it didn't appear that the Cable unplugged at the OBDII connector like it normally does and goes in line there. I wanted to see how hard this was to install before I actually ordered one or if any one had install instructions I could read. I googled and searched the forum and couldn't find them for the 2021 models. Any help would be appreciated

On Fords service connect website it has a instruction sheet for VSS but you should already have it I do believe. Anyways it plus into the enhanced gateway module located under the display behind the controls in the dash and it's a pain to get to it.

You can look at Ford parts website and plug your VIN in there and see what modules are in your truck by looking at shop>parts>electrical>modules. I would imagine you would have the correct module.

Thank you so much for all the great Info. It wouldnt verify my VIN for some reason on the site. I tried it 4 different times and went and checked it from the Window Sticker and verified it from the VIN on the truck. Not sure if it has anything to do with it looks like it was towards the end of July Build. So less than a month old. After looking at all the docs, and digging around under the dash, I could see that it did not have the shock sensor module. But as big of a PITA as that looks to be with having to pull the plastic around the display and the front of the console, I dont think it is worth installing.

Im going to try to verify the VIN again in a few days and see if it will let me see what modules are actually in that truck. I have had 2 or 3 platinums in the past, but never a Limited

I had it installed on my 2021 f150 black widow and I had it installed at the dealership. They had to take out the center console to get behind the dash to install it. I was not working and nowhere had the answer of how to fix it if it was already enabled. Take the glovebox out and it’s to the left you should be able to pull the control box out and turn the **** to adjust the sensitivity. This fixed it for me where it’s no longer on the steering wheel like in previous years.hope this helps!
