Default Pedal Commander vs. Pedal Monster on 14th Gen

I've been looking into these different throttle controllers for my 2022 XLT 5.0L F-150.

The Pedal Commander seems to be the most dominant recommendation on this Forum, and I love the benefits of it: more customizable fine tuning with different modes and sensitivities, bluetooth app, doesn't occupy OBD2 port, doesn't use the CAN bus, has a physical control interface. But I get nervous about it being in line with the gas pedal and potentially going out on me--rendering my pedal useless.

The Pedal Monster seems safer by getting it's voltage from the OBD2 port and reverting to default pedal state if it fails. So I wouldn't have to worry about it failing on me in the middle of an intersection and cutting off my ability to accelerate. But having to control it with an app unless I pay an extra cost kinda sucks, and I've heard the bluetooth connectivity is spotty.

So I'm really torn. I like the safety of the Monster, but the features of the Commander.

Anybody have opinions on this? Are my fears with the pedal commander misplaced? Any other thoughts?

Thanks for the recommendation! Y'all never had a problem with the check engine light coming on because of it due to a voltage trigger or anything?

Same as Goose and Toaster. I’ve had 2 pedal commanders about to order one for my 21. Absolutely no issues. No check engine light ever due to the pedal commander.

No.

I've had my same pedal command on my last four trucks, never any issues, and its worked just fine on my 21 since they didn't really change anything pedal wise with the new ones. Really made a difference with the 2.7 but with the 3.5 it doesn't need as much help, but still nice to increase the sensitivity.
