Default Painted Calipers

While walking up to my truck in the parking lot I was looking at the wheels and noticed how indiscreet/bland the calipers look. Began to wonder how they would look painted body color or the more common red, black etc. Anyone here paint theirs yet? How about posting pics of them.

americantrucks.com sells brake caliper covers. They have a good rating a little pricey at $299

the caliper paint kits work pretty well, I used some on my mustang and looked decent 10years later even with some track days.

the caliper covers are poser AF imho

About to do mine here in the next few weeks when I get time. I am way too cheap to pay those ridiculous prices for caliper covers, so I always paint. I have a 4 step process that seems to work well (after pulling calipers off and removing pads and masking)

1. 2 coats high temp primer
2. 3 coats of color
3. decal so the brakes dont look so bland (only on the fronts)
4. 1 coat high temp clear. Seals the decal on and makes the brake dust wipe off easier

Just did my wifes car the other week, so here is a pic for reference.

Paint them, do not put on those hideous expensive caliper covers.
