paint protection
I was thinking about having my truck ceramic coated, what does it cost and is it worth it for a white vehicle. I am in Florida (vero beach area) if anyone has any recommendations of where to get it done at.
Here in Texas it cost me 2100 for full ceramic coating(paint correction and claybar included) + 1750 for full frontal XPEL PPF film to get mine done at a reputable shop that backs theirs with a 10year nationwide transferrable warranty for PPF and 3 year local warranty for ceramic coatings.
Don't waste your money on ceramic coating for a white vehicle unless you don't like washing your car. Gloss wise it won't do anything for you as white doesn't really pop. Same thing for paint correction.
Invest in paint protection film instead. It'll help protect against rock chips and such. It's not a 100% guarantee it'll stop everything but does a great job. Figure on approx $2K to do the whole front including fenders for Xpel which comes with a 10 year warranty.

I like having the ceramic coating because it just adds a long term protection to my cars. I have a 2020 Volvo T-8 S60 Polestar (hybrid and polestar). It's black and the ceramic coating just makes the black absolutely 'pop'.
Once it's ceramic coated I wash / detail around every other week using primarily Chemical Guys products (foam canon is just plain cool). I think it makes keeping the car clean much easier. I also have a dedicated bucket for tires , one for soap, and one for clean water.
My guy (his mom owns the chemical guys franchise near me) did this truck for $1100 because we didn't have much to do for paint correction. The polestar needed some love because I used a car wash a few times (never using a commercial car wash again). It was around $1500.
For my wife's 2019 Volvo XC90 and my 3 kids cars I didn't bother ceramic coating. None of them seem to car if the cars are clean or not and only get washed when I can't stand to see them dirty anymore...

I’ll be doing the ceramic coating on my silver XLT whenever I get it, hopefully in April. A buddy of mine, also retired, enjoys detailing cars as a hobby, so I just have to pay for material. And I’ll probably have to put some wood flooring in his house. I won’t do any “clear bra” on the truck, but I have that on my vette. I will say that I’m really happy with that on my car. It’s been on there for 10 or 11 years and it still looks great. No fading or turning yellow. It might be aging better than normal because it’s always garaged. Ceramic on the truck to protect it from the elements of being outside all the time and clear bra on the car because the painted areas are more exposed to debris on the road. Just my thoughts on it.

I have a white metallic 2022 expedition and one of the first things I did was ceramic coat it. The protection and bubbling/beading are amazing. Plus it really makes cleaning the paint much easier.
I do the ceramic coating myself. Much cheaper. Follow the instructions in this video. Buy the product this guy recommends. I have used MOHS since it came out and it is fool proof and lasts a long time.
Once the weather warms up here in St Louis I will be doing this to my 2023 Tremor.
